Concern has been expressed by Stamford Civic Society and Stamford Town Council about a number of buildings and sites within or adjacent to the conservation areas in the town of Stamford.
As a result of these concerns, a discussion document has been produced. This was presented to the South Kesteven Conservation Officer at a recent meeting.
This is a sensitive problem with no easy solution as the owners of these sites and buildings are entitled to their privacy. But it is felt that conservation issues are a paramount concern in theses cases; hence highlighting theses issues is a positive step forward in the preservation of Stamford Town Conservation Areas.
